About This Event

Learn how to sew this beautiful tote bag with the assistance of a professional sewing instructor. The tote is a more advanced version of the traditional tote bag, with a zippered pocket and boxed corners. This is a great project for beginners wanting to become more comfortable with zippers and try their hand at bag making. The pattern is an adaptation of a pattern from Babylock.

Bring your own fabric, notions, and sewing machines. Step-by-step instructor provided. You will need:

1 yard of outer fabric (preferably sturdy, mid-weight)

1 yard of lining fabric

Two and one half yards of webbing for short straps, or 3 yards for shoulder straps

5/8 yard of fusible interfacing, or enough to cover your bag, only if using a light weight outer fabric

9″ zipper (a longer zipper is fine, as it can be shortened
